Credentials & Expertise

Professional Background

I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Washington (UW), where I majored in Psychology and minored in Public Health. After graduating, I gained valuable early experience working as an intake coordinator at Asian Counseling and Referral Services, as a research assistant supporting the dissemination of The Incredible Years parent training program, and as a research coordinator in a UW lab focused on childhood resilience and risk factors for psychopathology.

I went on to earn my Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology from the UW, where I received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Family-Based Therapies. My doctoral research explored how cultural background shapes the way depression is expressed in adolescents.

I completed my pre-doctoral internship through the general child track at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, where I pursued focused training through the Child OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorders Program and the Child and Adolescent Mood Disorder Program. Following internship, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Cadence Child and Adolescent Therapy in the Seattle-area, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy.

I spent the last decade on the Child Anxiety team at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle, where I developed expertise in working with kids, teens, as well as adults dealing with anxiety and OCD. I provided consultation, assessment, and treatment across outpatient and partial hospitalization program (PHP) settings.

I specialize in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for anxiety and OCD and have also completed training in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) through the Yale Child Study Center.

I am a licensed psychologist in Washington State and a PSYPACT member with authority to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology (APIT). I am also an active member of several professional organizations, including the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).

Personal Background

More personally, I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Seattle. I’m a proud Huskies and Seahawks fan, won first place in my 2025 fantasy football league, have never said no to charcuterie, and love to explore the world whenever I can!
