Therapy & Assessment Services

I offer diagnostic assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I offer online therapy and in-person therapy in the Queen Anne neighborhood.

My online services are delivered using a HIPAA compliant platform. I am a licensed psychologist in Washington state and I am a member of PSYPACT. This means that I am able to provide therapy to patients who are located in other PSYPACT member states.

My Approach

What Does Treatment Look Like?

My work with every client starts with a comprehensive assessment — not just to understand how your concerns might align with a clinical diagnosis, but to gain a deeper picture of how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact and influence one another. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) we harness those connections to help shift unhelpful thinking patterns and develop new behaviors so that you can genuinely feel better.

CBT is the foundation of my work, and I apply its evidence-based principles flexibly to meet the needs of each individual and family. This is not a therapy where we simply talk through what's happening — it's an active, hands-on process. Together, we'll explore new ways of thinking, practice new behaviors, and build real skills for managing distress and difficult emotions. I'll also ask you to practice between sessions, because that's where the real change happens — out in your everyday life.

I'm passionate about this approach because it's creative, engaging, and most importantly, because it works.

What Role Do Parents Play In Their Child's Therapy?

Parents are almost always a vital part of the therapeutic process, and together we'll figure out what that involvement looks like for your family. You spend far more time with your child than I ever could — which makes you an indispensable partner in creating meaningful change in their life. Being part of the process doesn't mean you caused the problem; it simply means you're committed to helping solve it.

For Younger Children

For younger children (roughly ages 3–7), I often work primarily or even exclusively with parents. Research shows that for many concerns, this can be just as effective — or more effective — than working with the child directly.

For Older Children & Teens

For older children and teenagers who are ready to engage more independently, individual therapy is frequently paired with parent guidance and education to strengthen communication and overall family functioning.

Parenting Interventions

I frequently work with parents who are looking for targeted support in raising children and young adults who experience anxiety and OCD. This type of work is sometimes called parent coaching. The strategies and principles I draw from are rooted in evidence-based parenting interventions. If your child is already working with their own therapist, I'm happy to coordinate care with that provider, with written consent.

Inclusivity & Affirming Care

I welcome and honor clients of all cultural backgrounds, racial identities, spiritual beliefs, neurodivergence profiles, and gender/relationship orientations. I strive to cultivate an inclusive, affirming, and respectful therapeutic space where you and your child can explore your identities safely. As I work to provide culturally responsive care, I acknowledge that your lived family experiences may differ from my own. I approach learning about your family's unique culture with deep respect, humility, and ongoing curiosity.
